Origin: Philippines/Sri Lanka

Effect/Application: Coconut oil is a true all-rounder. It consists of a high proportion of saturated fatty acids (which are considered "bad"), but with a lot of medium-chain fatty acids. These have the advantage that they are very easy to digest, go straight into the blood and thus provide a lot of energy and boost the metabolism - so coconut fat supports weight loss. With its great coconut note, it can be used wonderfully in the kitchen for pastries, sauces, soups, exotic dishes, spreads, etc. Also excellent for roasting and baking! In cosmetics, it makes the hair shine and cares for the scalp. It brings the skin into balance: with rough hands and feet, minor skin imperfections, after shaving, massages - skin tightening effect, lip care, prevention of stretch marks, and much more. It is also ideal for oil pulling. In addition, it keeps pests such as mosquitoes, ticks, fleas etc. away from dogs, cats and horses. Simply rub some coconut oil in your hands and rub it over your fur.
