Product information "Cistus (Rockrose) essential oil organic"
100% pure Cistus essential oil organic (Cistus ladaniferus)
Origin: Portugal, from certified organic cultivation
Extraction: Steam distillation
Scent:
Warm, sweet, herbaceous, relatively strong and tart
Effects/Application:
The slightly crumpled leaves of the rockrose immediately point to its psychological application – it is said to help wounded, shattered souls process old traumas and injuries.
It is also said to help emotionally cold people open and warm their wounded hearts.
The characteristic scent comes from the sticky labdanum resin, which is released from the leaves and branches.
Physically, it is effective on heavily bleeding wounds, as it seals them almost like a bandage.
(Of course, this refers to small cuts and grazes and is in no way a substitute for consulting a doctor!).
It is generally very nourishing and regenerative for the skin and protects it in extreme heat or cold.
Rockrose oil plays a significant role in the perfume industry.
To promote lymphatic flow, rockrose oil is suitable as an additive during or after lymphatic drainage.
