Our team

Meet our team at Sensoleo.

Daniel Fuchs

Before founding Sensoleo, I worked for 15 years as a retail salesman. In between, I spent 3 years in England. In 2017, I finally turned my hobby into a profession!

For several years, I've been involved in the production of essential oils and hydrosols, and that's where the idea came from to become self-employed and produce regional products. As the founder and owner of Sensoleo, my responsibilities are very diverse.

From raw material procurement and distillation to sales, but also accounting and marketing are among my main tasks.

I prefer working in the forest or distilling; office tasks are more of a necessary evil.

Michaela Fuchs

My wife and the mother of our shared daughter, Sarah.

Michi is a trained certified nurse and commercial masseuse. Since April 2024, she has been officially employed by Sensoleo, but has helped out in every free minute from the very beginning. From shop decoration, office, sales, and many other areas, Michi can always be relied on!

In 2024, she completed her training as a certified aroma consultant and certified Bach flower consultant!

Gertraud Fuchs

My mother and I discovered distilling as a hobby together. As the first and longest-serving employee, she has played a major role in the development of Sensoleo.

Although already retired, she still enjoys working.

Bottling, selling at the market, and distilling are her main tasks, but she also helps wherever a woman is needed.

Since 2019, she has been a certified aroma consultant!

Kathrin Has

Kathrin has been working with us since April 2023. She is a trained office administrator and has 20 years of professional experience. She is married and has 2 sons. Kathrin handles many tasks in the office, creates our social media posts, and manages shipping. She is also a great help in production.

In 2024, she completed her training as a certified aroma consultant!

Jutta Jesse

Jutta joined us in October 2023. She is a trained retail saleswoman and lives with her partner and son.

With over 10 years of experience in warehousing and shipping, she is a great asset to us. In addition to shipping and bottling, she is also a great help in the office and with distillation.

In July 2025, she completed her training as a certified aroma consultant!

Corporate philosophy

Sensoleo - About us

Our name

Sensoleo is composed of the Latin words:
senses = senses and oleo = to smell/scent or oil
The products created are intended to appeal to all the senses through their scent.

The Beginning

After numerous experiments with a small distillation unit in the basement of the residential building, planning for a commercial system began in 2016. This was built together with a local metal fabricator. Since June 2017, we have been using it to produce regional varieties of essential oils and hydrosols.

Company Philosophy

Production together with nature! 100% natural and, if possible, organic certified raw materials from the region are used. Deviations from this principle are clearly marked in the article. Preferred partners are regional farmers/direct marketers or small businesses who also value environmentally conscious work.

Sustainable Packaging

We use recyclable raw materials such as glass, cardboard, and paper for packaging. Packaging materials made of plastic, Styrofoam, etc. that we receive from suppliers are reused by us. After a long search, we also found organic doypacks made of kraft paper and organic film (packaging for beeswax, cocoa butter, xanthan,...) which are 100% compostable – including the clip closure. Unfortunately, we haven't managed to do that with the labels yet, so please remove them before composting!

Organic quality

We have been organic certified since the end of 2017, which is why most of our products are available in organic quality. Every single essential oil (and every single batch) is sent to the laboratory for testing to ensure consistently good quality. An analysis certificate and organic certificate are available upon request for every product we produce in-house and, of course, for all our trade products!

Since we mainly produce regional products and still want to offer our customers a wide range, we source essential oils and hydrosols from small distillation operations around the world that impress us with their quality and appreciation for the environment.
