Effect/Use:
Anise hydrosol has a cough-suppressant and antispasmodic effect. A teaspoon of it mixed with a little honey provides relief from a scratchy cough. Gargling with anise hydrosol combined with sage hydrosol is particularly effective for sore throats. It is also ideal for seasoning bread and small baked goods if you just want a subtle anise flavor. In bath water, the hydrosol has a relaxing and calming effect (recommended in combination with 2 drops of neroli and 1 drop of bergamot or grapefruit).
