vegetable oils
Author: Ruth of Brunswick
Word has gotten around about how important vegetable oils are for our diet. Most people today are also aware that they have to be natural and carefully produced and, if possible, come from organic farming if they are to develop their health-promoting effects. However, some experts still doubt that olive oil, coconut oil and the like are also valuable helpers for skin care and can even be used in skin care. A wealth of research work speaks for itself. According to the latest scientific findings, it has been proven that the ingredients in vegetable oils are also helpful for our largest organ: the skin. Not only that the fat molecules have been "known" to the skin for millions of years in terms of evolutionary biology and it is therefore excellent at metabolizing them. In addition, modern research has recently taken a close look at the so-called accompanying substances of the oils - also called "secondary plant substances". And it turned out that they don't really deserve the name. Rather, they should be called protective substances. Because these substances - polyphenols, vitamins, dyes, to name just a few - make up a significant part of the effectiveness of the oils. They protect the cells from environmental toxins, free radicals and UV rays and thus have a tumor-inhibiting effect, among other things. Vegetable oils protect and care, can prevent diseases and alleviate symptoms. They work from the inside as well as from the outside, in the kitchen as well as in body care. The graduate biologist and non-medical practitioner Ruth von Braunschweig has completely revised her book, which was first published more than ten years ago. She has added the latest findings to the scientific evidence, as well as another decade of her own years of practical experience. She also introduces a range of new oils that have only recently been added to our diet. The result is an even more extensive work, in which, as always, enjoyment is not neglected.
